Sivananda Hatha Yoga - Relaxation, meditation, breathing, flowing movement, steady poses. Systematically working and relaxing the whole body, bringing you to physical, mental and emotional balance.
Hatha Yoga Gentle - Relaxation, breathing, slow flowing movement, simple steady poses. Ideal if you are a little uncertain with your body and want to build up confidence with your yoga practice. Suitable for pregnancy and rehabilitation from injury.
Restorative Yoga - 8 steady poses held for 5-10 minutes each, to open up the body's energy channels and allow for deep relaxation and repair. A peaceful class where the whole group, including the teacher, relax together. Wear warm clothes and bring a blanket if you like. Restorative sessions are taught in place of other classes on adhoc occasions.
GENERAL INFO: wear loose clothes you can stretch in. Practice is in bare feet. Bring a little water to drink and something warm to put on for final relaxation (jumper or blanket). Try not to eat too heavily beforehand. Switch off phones and limit chatter. If you have any health concerns, please speak to the teacher before class. Beginners are given detailed instructions and the more advanced are challenged with variations. All students are encouraged to go at their own pace, listening to their body and resting when they need. Always try your best but be gentle. Do not compare yourself with anyone else. Enjoy your practice.
